Skip a Meal and Raise Awareness About Hunger and Poverty

Millions of people around the world are affected by humanitarian crises, but luckily there are people all around the world that are willing to lend a helping hand.

At IBIS 2018, we heard an inspiring story from our Most Valuable Dashboard Award Winner– the International Humanitarian City. The International Humanitarian City inspired us and our audience by demonstrating how the solution they created is saving and changing lives.

This solution is the Humanitarian Logistics Databank. It was created by a team of specialist in the International Humanitarian City in Dubai and led by Giuseppe Saba, CEO of the IHC and former head of the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depots.

The Databank is a game changer.

The Humanitarian Logistics Databank allows real-time data to be shared between aid agencies, crisis-hit countries and humanitarian warehousing hubs. It provides the humanitarian community with a common database platform on humanitarian aid stocks and flow to help enhance emergency preparedness and response.

Hearing this inspiring story really makes you wonder what am I doing? How can I help?

No contribution is too small and no act is too small to help those in need.

I found out that every year InfoSol skips a meal for OXFAM. Since 1974, thousands of OXFAM supporters have skipped a meal during the thanksgiving season to raise awareness about the millions of people who go hungry every day.

OXFAM is a global organization working to end the injustice of poverty. They help people build better futures for themselves, hold the powerful accountable, and save lives in disasters.

InfoSol participates in this powerful movement by inspiring our fellow InfoSolights to skip a meal and to contribute that money that they would have spent on that meal to OXFAM and in addition, InfoSol matches the contributions.

Last year, we broke our record of our collective contributions to OXFAM from previous years. And this year, we are on track to and aiming to break our record in order to help change the world!

When you skip a meal and donate to OXFAM, you make an immediate and lasting difference!

If you would like to take action with us and contribute to OXFAM, take a look at the many ways that you can participate.
